Shorten a power strip cord?

Hey, I am going to be using power strips to light my grow box, the box is going to hold at least 4 power strips. The cords for these power strips are kind of alot to deal with. I have the basic idea of how to do this but is this a good idea? is there anything i really need to be aware of. Any advice is apreciated

your fine you can cut them all and use only one power receptacle if you want, its simple just match the colors together on the wires an your fine. nothing to worry about
