should i buy a 400 watt light online?

I don't have a car and the nearest hydro/gardening store that would sell a light like that is 5 miles away, i've already ordered tons of growing supplies on amazon but only 40 and 150 watt lights and none of it said "cannabis growing lights" they were for general horticulture. The only thing i've ever bought that was obviously meant for cannabis is a "420 scope". If i start getting more serious equipment meant to squeeze out lets say... 6 or 8 ounces, will it start to become hot? As in the LEA's will keep an eye on me.

So everyone who orders a 400W light online is growing reefer madness? C'mon man, there are alot of folks growing indoors these days, and alot more than just reefer. Nothing better than making a fresh batch of salsa from the kitchen garden, where fresh tomatoes, onions, garlic and cilantro is growing. The way food prices are skyrocketing, anyone getting a jump on growing vegetables indoors is ahead of the curve. Proud to say I'm one of those people !!!!!!

I bought my LEDs, my tents, my HIDs, well, almost everything online.

Everything was shipped discretely in non-identifiable boxes. You shouldn't have any issues at all.

btw, I'd honestly go with a dimmable 600w, as you can crank it down to 75% and 50%, effectively turning it into a 400w if that's all you currently need. Then if you ever expand, you can crank up the ballast to 100%.

What you save up front on old electricity sucking tech you will pay back to your power company within one year, with limited future benefits.

Also, when I used a 400 hps, it was important to change the lamp every 4 grows; I changed mine every 3rd grow

theres something wrong w you......... your leds cant compete w hps in any way......
