curing would probably help, but honostly if that all you yielded there is really no point, just smoke it and read up, get educated, and do better next time

that was just the little popcorn buds that weren't getting very much light on bottom of plant around week 5 of flower

They won't have much or any THC in them.
To verify whether they have THC, take a look at the trichomes with a microscope. If they are clear, they contain no THC, and won't get you high.

Might as well cure em.. And you're partially right about directing energy and nutrients to the top but you should of cut off all that right before flowering so that you didn't stress the plant during the most important time. It'll be okay but it will hurt your yield.. live and learn. You'll do better next time bud.

if it were me, with my habits, that amount would be smoked up long before it had a chance to get a decent cure

I pinched a little off a bud and put it in 1 hitter and it tasted bad not really harsh but taste was garbage they smell pretty decent it sweet mango from ghs will taste get better after bout a week of dry and 10 day cure?
