So here's the rundown...i'm totally new to growing weed. I found a seed in some good bud i had about a month ago or so. I germinated it in some wet napkins and when it sprouted i put it in a small clay pot. At first i only had it under a 25 watt full spectrum cfl, but after doing some research found i'd need more light. Now its under two 32 watt Cool White t8 florescent tubs...3 25 watt full spectrum cfl's, and one 27 watt cfl. It's a little over a month old from seed to where it is now, and has grown so slowly. I've transplanted once to a bigger pot, where it started to finally take off a bit (i'm pretty sure it was starting to get root bound in smaller pot). Now my plant is only like 4-5 inches tall, with large canopy leaves covering some bushier leaf growth around the stem. I know I know, my plant should be way bigger by know but i don't understand why its grown so slow . Some of the leaves were burnt when a cfl light fell when i wasn't home, but other than that the plant looks healthy. I've been feeding it jacks 20-20-20 (both foliar and through soil). Also, the ph of the soil is about 7 and the ph of the fert when mixed in distilled water is about 6.5. The light cycle for the majority of the time was about 24 hour on, but only in the past couple weeks have i changed it to 18/6,
So now, finally to the question i'm curious about...Should i cut the large canopy leaves so the undergrowth can receive more light? Any thoughts or comments would be really appreciated!
