Should I defoliate at all?

Pretty much just the title. This plant is a bit over 4 weeks and seems to be doing really well. It's bushy and short and I've already taken some smaller leaves from the bottom. I see some more leaves starting to try to poke through the top and my question is should I trim some bigger leaves and expose the stuff underneath? Especially being a bushy plant?

LST is the way to go at that stage to bring those lower branches up to the canopy you want to form.
