Should I drop some lights?

I'm in veg right now and I have 4 40 watt tube flouros and 5 cfls on them right now, but I see pictures of people only using the tube flouros for veg. So should I drop mr cfl's untill I go into flowering?

keep as many lights as possible. it'll take a lot of cfls to produce enough light to exceed the healthy amount. but i would recommend replacing a few cfls with some soft white cfls if you havent already. with the soft whites you get the better spectrum of lights to simulate the changing seasons.

nah, 400 watts is great for two plants as long as you dont let the light go to waste. white paint works well for reflection. they say dont use foil but ive used it and i havent had anything burst into flames...what i really mean is i havent had a problem. and its FEMALE!!!! the pistils are showing on two preflowers right now. almost all of the branches have preflowers on them.

would mylar work and not catch on fire or no? also what about mirrors if its a samll area woudl mirrors would in stead of paint or mylar
