Well like the title says I have a Hindu Kush auto mean Growers Choice seeds.

Just sprouted up from the soil yesterday.

have it in a 2 gallon pot, FF happy frog with added perlite

Just curious if I should top her or not? I've never grown an Auto before. I know the quantum boards give a Different Light spread then the old incandescents that people have been using. I didn't know if that might change things a bit with an auto in the (to top or not to top) debate.

I wouldn't for multiple reasons. Its Kush which are usually small so flower sets in faster with no recovery time and 2, you should've used 5 gal for soil so plant will already be on the smaller side than if it was 2 gal of coco.

I top everything , I just got into autos a few years ago and top them with no problems but then again ive only done about 8-10 strains my bubblelicious from nirvana really grows when topped as for kush ive never done a auto . I always start with the bucket im gonna stay in a seed looks funny in a 5 gallon bucket at 1st but it fills out nice and trust me by the end its root bound

Think im gonna have a go with the tie down and kinda train her in a circular pattern around the pot method.

Just tie top down 90° and lift everything else up

Stick with LST .... less chance of a fuck up .

This is ONE WAY of doing LST on autos. They have a SHORT VEG and sometimes any stress can screw the pooch on them. I am not sayin you can’t top ( some autos ) but you can get many tops by manipulating the grow instead.

I do nothing but autos and like the simple things one can do. Topping ( at least in my garden ) usually can be done on Sativa heavy autos or Dominate , since they will go longer to mature.
Remember auto harvest times are ONLY an estimation , they do get better run til they are done , not by counting weeks



I also just let them do their thing and only “ LST “ the natural shape and OPEN UP MIDDLE.
Pinch off the tiny baby buds ( inner areas ) that will never do shit then leave it alone.

I top at like the 5th. Makes a nice even canopy and doesn’t need much training.

I'm growing two Kush strains and that's what I'm doing. My main branch is starting to look like a spiral staircase.
