Should I remove the fan leaves?

The side branches are trying to get out of the shade. The plant is so beautiful I dont want to mangle it. Does pruning make that big of a difference. I plan on cutting the new side branches to take clones anyhow. That would leave the plant with few fan leaves and missing half of its branches. Oh this is going to be more painful to me than it is to my babies. ;-(
 
I was thinking the same thing. Im going to start rotating tomorrow when the lights are on.
 
Yea, Im not going to pluck any leaves off. I want to let them do thier thing for now. I think of it like each leaf is solar panel sucking up the light to make carbs.

EXPLAIN: Good info to be extracted here. FDD, give us some info here, based on your experience. Explain how it works, in both aspects, with and without the leaves, pros/cons, etc. Sorry, to put you on the spot, but I know you can handle it. Hell, man, I just want to see another point of view, I am going bat shit crazy growing only two plants.

the plant uses ALL of it's leaves to collect light.

light is converted into energy.

energy produces new growth.

think of solar panels. the more you have the more power you are producing. you start removing panels and you start losing power.

those big leaves are there for a reason. to catch as much light as possible and convert it into energy to grow more branches, to grow more leaves, to catch more light, to produce more energy.......:mrgreen::blsmoke::peace:

Damn, that needs to go into the grow faqs for the short and sweet of it. I can truly understand that answer. Need to sticky this one somewhere. Its asked a lot.
