Should I stick with my T12s or go to T5s for veg?

Hey guys, I'm just curious what peoples opinion is on T12 fluoro's vs T5? Right now I have 4 40w veg spectrum T12 bulbs for my veg on about 8 plants. I'm wondering if I should invest in a T5 set up instead. Does anyone have experience with both? I would appreciate any info! Thanks!

T5s have a lot more lumens/watt. You can get them in both a bloom and a veg spectrum, and are best used with a scrog setup where you need even lighting. T5s can give you some very decent yields and all you have to do between veg and flower is switch out some bulbs. Still, most growers will say that HPS will yield you a larger, more compact bud.

Having started with CFl and T5 grows years ago, I gradually switched over to MH and HPS. Yield is much better, growth is faster, bud is more dense and compacted. Taste is the same. Instead of switching over to T5, I would get HID lights if you intend to grow for a while. HID is more efficient also, so it costs less for the equivalent wattage. Minimum recommended size is 400 watts.

Im growing/flowering T5's---If you read my story in my GJ--you'll see why. (page 1)

Long story short:

My Hydro store guy as unlimited access to all lights--he chose T5s
