well are you planning on vegging the jack or flowering it???

if your planning on keeping it in veg i would say transplant it but if your going to flower it i would say keep it in the same container so it doesnt outgrow your grow space.

or you could tranplant like a week before you flower it.

jacks beeen in veg for bout 6 weeks now prolly go around 7 or 8 weeks before i flower i have 9 foot ceiling for my flower area for it so i should be good in height just dont want to run into problems if it hit the 7 foot range in height in a 3 gallon pot

I would transplant into the 5 gallon container now and keep vegging until space becomes available in the flowering room. The 3-4 weeks until your other plant is finished should give your plant time to adjust to being repotted and be ready to start flowering with room to grow. I have a similar situation with plants that I want to start flowering, but the flowering room has no space.
