Should I use peat moss to dry up ground?

Hey guys I just dug up one of my plots today getting ready for the spring plant.. The area is quite wet and swampy and I was wondering if I should add some peat moss into it now to help dry it up.... Would this be my best way or will to much be bad? Any comments and advice would be great!

Perlite is for pots, not outdoors. Does the ground dry out usually in summer? If it stays wet, if it would give your plants wet feet then you need to find another spot.
You can add lots of organic matter and sand for drainage and raise the bed above grade.
Anything to keep plants from putting roots into poorly oxygenated wet soil. Ive seen subcool erect huge bottomless containers made of nylon and filled with supersoil on otherwise poor soil so that the plant had a much better growth rate.
Check out the organics section and see.

Throw a bag of lime down(out of bag but NOT spread) and sit a rubbermaid with the bottom cut out right on top of it...fill with your soil and plant later...I gave this a shot late last season and I was impresssed (14ozs 2plants)...if I knew they were both fems ...I would of gave them each their own tote
