Should I vacuum my buds?

Well it's almost that time and I have taken some macro shots looking at the trichs and noticed there is an awful amount of cat hair on my buds. I mean it's not totally furry but you know. Anyways, I was told by a grower a couple weeks ago about vaccuming up mites from plants and I was wondering if maybe I should give em a quick once over to remove any stray hairs but worried that it may damage trichs or something. I figure it's no different than a strong breeze so I would be okay but maybe the hair wouldn't detatch anyways. I could use some tweezers and pull off the hair but that's a lot of work. I wonder how much dog and cat hair I've smoked in my life lol. Any thoughts?

Smoke that cat hair! You deserve it for letting cat hair get into your grow! Did you know that mites can travel on animal fur? Your buddy with the vaccum does.

I don't mean to rip on you man. Pet hair in bud is my #1 peave!

To answer your question, a vaccum probably ain't gonna work, tweezers will. I'm glad you're concerned about it.

Yes I know mites travel on animal fur but to my knowledge my pets don't have any mites. I mean it's been 3 months and I don't have any bugs actually I never have. My buddy with the mites was some random person in the live chat room here she was just mentioning that she vacuums up the mites and it works great. My cat squeezes into my closet once in a while but they are on a table above and it's not like he gets on the table and rubs against them in all likelyhood the cat hair is probably transferred by me via my clothes, he's the cutest thing you ever saw so I'm constantly petting him he's an indoor cat. I am not going to punish myself by smoking cat hair I will remove it before I smoke it but as far as dealing with the problem I am trying to get a tent but I'm not going to put on a hazmat suit to tend to my garden you know? Pet hair is just a part of pet ownership. Besides it's organic

Don't vaccuum unless you really really have to - if your buds are so covered in cat hair that they look like dirty socks, i'd say its time to give 'em the old once-over. I had to vaccuum my buds once when I had a gnarly infestation of spider mites and I always regretted having to do that because tons of THC gets knocked off/destroyed/lost during this process. I know because I could've scraped a few grams of hash off of the end of the vaccuum hose when I was done.

Here's what you do. After you trim, take some duct tape and use 2 pieces to hold down 1 piece sticky side up to a table top. Hold the bud very close to the sticky tape and use a chopstick to pin the hairs to the tape. You might have to replace the tape a few times depending on how much you gotta do. It's faster than tweezers.

My cat loves weed plants. Right after the clone box they go in to small pots and stay under the floresent for a few days. If she can get in the closet she will go crazy on them. On a good note she fimmed one for me. I would be missing a cat if she gets in the flower room.

LMAO I learned the hard way when I let my other cat back in the house last year. I didn't even think about it but he ate all my sprouts. This cat is fairly new and he's a short hair cat but there is still a lot of hair on them. I will remove the hair manually thanks for the replies I am glad I didn't just go ahead and do it.
