Showering a dusty plant

Did something to a plant recently and want to know if anyone else has tried. Harvested two 3x3 plants and had no intake filter. Sprayed in first two weeks of flower with Spidermite knockout, so instead of burning whatever may have been left on the plant, I assumed giving them a quick shower(like rain) just after harvest would clean them up a bit. Right after chop they made it to the shower with 40-50 degree water. I made sure to fully saturate them and gently shook the water off. Right after I chopped branches and hung them all up to dry. Dehu set at 50% and room temp 65-70 with a fan blowing at them.

Anyone doing this?? Another forum says some do this often.. I might do it more frequent if it doesn't harm anything.

Do a search on the forum for "bud washing". A lot of people are doing it to clan the plants of dust, residue, dead bugs etc. They got recipes to clean them real good. All my air into the grow room is filtered and it's almost dust free down in the dungeon anyway so I don't do it.

Mites suck!

I'm high considering an intake filter. Guess I've got some work to do. Mites suck Especially when your buddy passes them along LOL!! ha HA!

Add a bit of H2o2 and no worries of getting mold with your rinse.

I have all my air coming in from the basement area outside the grow room through filtered grates. I tried the HEPA filters but they are much too restrictive so I used those static free wipes you can buy to clean LED computer screens or glass of any kind really. They're really fine and filter out molds and bugs. Cheap like borscht too.

There was a big open spot in wall of my grow room for access to the sump pump but I kept getting fungus gnats and found out the little buggers were breeding in the wet sump. I built a cover for the hole with a plastic window in it so I could check the sump and cut a couple rectangles for some louvered vents from the hardware store. They have mosquito netting on the back so I just laid the wipes over the holes, screwed on the vents and cut away the excess cloth around them with a utility knife. No gnats since and that was years ago. I put that foam rubber strip for sealing doors on the wall all around the hole to seal it up good. Lots of screws to take out to get at the sump pump tho and it screwed up this spring and I got a couple inches of water on the floor from the flood.
