i was just in the process of building a new veg cab and i had to move my fresh clones (3 days) out of the room for a while. stupidly i thought id put em out side in the sun. i luckily saw them within 10 mins but by that time damage had already been done. it was a hot day and it seems asif my babies got cooked.

but im hoping they still might live...
i cut off all of the fully discoloured leaves as seen in pics but one died...

should i cut off all the burnt(?) leaves or even snip off the discoloured tips?
or just leave the semi-burnt leaves intact?
i am currently only giving them a misting 3 times a day and keeping cubes wet with distilled water. (althought i do have some hydro nutes i could give them at 1/4 strength)

*please excuse the 2 new clones in pic which i cut today

I would just leave the leafs on until there is some more new growth then snip the hole leaf off. they most likely will be fine but shit dude how hot is it there? because shit dude it minus 13 c here, were the clones leafs wet? goodluck.

I wouldn't give them nutes yet. And don't cut them off. Just allow the clone to recover from the stress.

thanks guys.

yeah aus is amazing weather at the moment, especially for growing nice big outdoor plants.

i am taking as many clones as i can from my large outdoor plants, veg them indoors under either 24/0 or 18/6, and then move them outdoors within a month, by then the daylight hours outside with have dropped to 12/12 and i will flower them naturally!!

im thinking of it as a big outdoor SoG without the perpetual bit, one big harvest!

Why would one do a sog outside? Due to space? If you can grow outside don't you want to make them as big as you can? It would be kind of funny to see 9' plants with only one big coloa, lol.

Plus when growing outside its going to take 9 months or so to finsh.

it wont take 9 months when u thorw a plant outside,

if u put a clone out in september, it will start budding, hence a very small plant

if u put a clone out in april/may it will still finish at the same time the clone u threw out in september will or very close to it.

yeah heres my plan, ill start a new thread with this soon

my outdoor daylight hours are approaching 12/12 (currently at around 13.5/10.5)
so my plan is to get the greatest outdoor harvest i can. i have one large confirmed female which i have startert cloning but am lookin for mothers to get this really under way,

i plan on taking many clones, growing them under 24/0 fluros untill outside gets to 12/12 and hopefully drop these babies into the ground at a large property my dad owns about 20 mins drive away from my house.

due to living arrangements i cannot grow these at my house as nieghbours and relatives may catch on to a large scale grow, but im cool with a "couple" of innocent plants at my house (enter outdoor hydros)... haha

it will be SoG in terms of small clones put nearly straight into flower, but there will be no perpetual system, i am mearly wanting to maximise my outdoor yield this season and thought this could be a good way to do it so late in the game

wat u think?

Hi,
I grow outdoors and let mother nature veg for me. I would get that big girl outside now. The light outside is stronger and she will grow faster. When you transplant, it shocks them and they sit stagnant for several weeks. You don't want to loose flower time while she adjusts to her new home. She may be slow to flower so you can bag her for 24 hours when your light hits 12/12. As for the clones get them well rooted and get them outside. Again mother nature is better at vegging and flowering than anything we can manage.

An average outdoor grow in the western US starts in mid May and harvest is in Oct. I tried a spring crop in Feb and the flowering was slow. Lack of heat and heavy rain was the cause. The flowers did not mature and the plants went back into veg--no good smoke. I brought a few indoors and tried to finish the flowering under 1000 watt HPS. The plants hated it. I would have done better to keep them indoors the whole time.

Baby clones won't produce much but anything is better than nothin.

the purpose of making all the clones is the maximise the yeild i can get outdoor this season.

since i only have 7 outdoors right now, only 2 confirmed females and the others looking scaryingly like they gona be males, i want to get as many plants going as possible for the greast yield...

for ease of transport to the site and bigger growth im assuming that this kind of grow would be better done with clones than seeds started now...? plus guaranteed fems is very handy.

i could even preflower the clones before outside hits 12/12 so they hav a better chance or maturing in time

peace
