I plan on buying some silica Gel packs to absorb evaporated water inside my Curing jars, as ill have too many to open and burp. i believe it will absorb the humidity in the jar and keep the inside moist/dry enough to avoid mold growth. has anyone attempted this? i still plan on burping them, but so many of my strains are odorous (diesel, cheese, skunks) and id rather have a technical way of drying them out and keeping the stank inside the jars for added curing taste/smell. just dont want my house to smell like im growing 100 plants inside all in follower the moment i open my jars. i dont want any mold... so i think these would help the curing environment inside the jars. im getting about 100 packets. 2 per jar or more to maintain humidity levels.

I've heard of a couple people using those with success though I think it would be a good idea to burp the jars whenever you can and not just rely on the packets let us know what happens! :bigjoint:

Silica Gel does work great in absorbing moisture, but keep away from anything but the food grade Silica Gel Packets in Tyvek. If the listing does NOT say Tyvek you do NOT want it! Silica Gel packaged in tyvek meets FDA specifications for use in DIRECT contact with dry food items!

Take a look at these, they are dirt cheap plus no s&h: http://www.silicagelpackets.com/silica-gel-packets/1-2-gram-silica-gel-packet-tyvek.html
