Silly question...

I got this handheld 60-100x microscope thingy from radio shack today to look at trichs. I zoomed in and out, held the thing up, tried using it on the table with my sample pinched between, tried with lights off and on and all manner of things, and the closest I got was a shaky couple seconds of clear balls, which is good, but other than that, just a lot of blur... Dumb question of the year- how the heck do I use this scope properly??

I guess it would help if we had a picture of it.

If you're asking for a pic of what I'm seeing while I'm trying to look thru it, that's going to be pretty much impossible.

60-100x zoom will be hard to keep focused by hand. Try the lowest setting first and if that still doesn't help try mounting to something and bring the sample to it.

best to lay piece of leaf from bud on table, flat with scope on top. those scopes suck,imo, shell out the 4 bucks for a 30-45 x loupe from e-bay.

what i do is hold the bud so fans dont move it around and kinda push it on the scope and turn the focus slowly....i got a 420scope i didnt look at yours

I have the same scope, I'm not super crazy about it because I find myself having to push it against my the bud to get a good look. I use it with the light on. The plastic piece in front of mine is covered in old resin. Keep practicing with it, you'll get the hang of it.
