Simple Drip Questions, Please Help!

What is the proper timing for DWC Drip System? Also have a fogger in the res.


Growing in root riot, hydroton surrounding.
Proper drainage.


Initially had it running 24/7, noticed some serious droop. I have since cut it back to 1/2 hour on for every 2 1/2 hours off. Leaves seem to have perked up a lil, but does less water equal less growth? Ideally, what should it be kept at?


Also can someone tell me the easiest way to change the res? Right now, I need to hit the gym if I plan on picking up the res. Im thinking theres gotta be a pump I could buy that would fit MHT? I get really nervous running my submersible pump with a low water level.

Any suggestions would help. Please!

You got any pics? The Hydroton does a good job of retaining water. I would try watering 3 times during the light cycle. Either that or you can water and wait to see when they start to need water. This will also change as the plants grow and water needs change. GL

How will I know they need water? Just tell by when the root riot dries?

Examine your media and if it is light and looks like its close to being dry at the top dig down a bit and see if it's still moist. Since you have the foger as well it should stay moist longer. I am guessing that you run the foger 24/7 suplimented by the drip? If thats the case your plants will not need the drip as frequently. It's going to take some experimentation to see when your media is due water.

I would:
1.Start by watering
2.Continue to check media every 30min to 1 hour to determine when it is at the point where it needs water. You don't want it to be completely dry.
3.Set timer to run according to the amount of time it took.

This girl took a turn for the worse unfortunately. The Post is called hydroponically retarded linking it while on Bb is a pain so. I made some mistakes of which one was overwatering hopefully resolved.

So I'm done with the trial and error. I only have half hour timer. End result was 4 1/2 hour off per half hour on. This was pretty close to your initial statement. Thanks again for the help!
