What I found was that the Dream n Sour popped some balls around week 3ish.. It was typically only on one branch. I had cuttings from 3 potential mothers and the cuttings from 2 of them popped balls at week 3ish. I tossed them. I gave a buddy a few cuttings before I got the balls and he got balls on one branch on each of his plants. He just clipped the branch and flowered them. He didn't have any other issues with balls.. He got a few bananas at the end but that was it. The cuttings that I finished turned out really nice.. No issues at all. I am running 2 more from seed right now and they are both fine. One appears to be the same pheno that I got before but I also have a new pheno that is much shorter (4ft compared to 6 ft), much sweeter smelling. I'm almost done with week 7 on them and they look great....
I had no issues with Buddhas on Moonshine with balls or bananas or anything like that. I got a couple of runts and chucked them. Besides that, I have 6 of them going right now from seed just finishing up week 7 on sunday. I have 4-5 different phenos showing. All but one is really nice. The one I am not crazy about is the pheno I got last time I grew one plant of this strain. It has an incredible sweet confectionery sugar smell. It's also the tallest pheno that I have seen, getting about 5ft+. The other phenos that I have going are much shorter except for one. The one that is a bit taller but not as tall as the one I don't like reachs about 4.5-5ft tall and smells lemony and piney, kinda like an OG Kush.. The I have 2 that look the same (about 3.5 feet and very bushy) but the bud structure on them looks slightly different and they smell slightly different. They smell cherryish and one smells a bit more kushy but they are pretty close smelling... And then I have 2 others that are shorter, around 3 ft tall and they smell real funky.. Super dense nugs onthis compared to any of the others. All but the one I don't like have decent density but the small ones are like solid dense rocks.... One of those ones that an 8th is just one decent sized bud..
I also did rapppers delight and only had issues with balls on 2 out of 12 from seed. I chucked them and kept the others. I got a few phenos from them. 3 total I think. There are 2 very tall and stretchy phenos. One looks real foxtailed and like it has seed pods everywhere but they aren't. Not a single seed or banana. The other tall one is pretty nice looking.. I think the taller phenos don't have nearly as strong a nose as the short pheno but they are super frosty and yileld well. Strong good daytime meds on both of the tall phenos... Not speedy but very up.. This is the first time I have seen the shorter pheno so I am not sure what the high will be like as it still has 2-3 weeks left in flower... It smells much stronger and is only about 4.5 feet tall. Very dense flowers and it looks like it will yield well..... I have to say that after 2 grows with Sin City gear, I am pretty pleased over all.. I thinik I would probably say you need to go through a pack or 2 to find the perfect keeper but overall pretty happy with them. I still prefer TGA Subcool gear though..
