I plan to build a light that will cover an area of 1 metre by 2 metres.
The light will be around 840 Watts, Once completed the light will have a Typhon controller.

Operation: UVB First Half Hour, Sunrise 30 Minutes -> Full Brightness 10 Hours -> Sunset 30 Minutes, UVB Last Half Hour -> Repeat Cycle...

Those are from tme. The fins are so close together. You're gonna find out real soon why we go through heatsinkusa.com. it'll be a miracle If you don't hit any fins while you're drilling holes in the face. Unless you're using a press, then you could stop your bit from going all the way through the heat sink's base plate . BUT you'd have to hand tap that way

That's like the greatest idea ever, to have HS shipped over the ocean.

I shold have worded it better. Why we go with the 5.886" and wider profile most the time. I wish you the very best.

I ordered these from the UK as it is cheaper for me to get locally, I have six 1000mm x 146mm x 6mm

The point was that HSUSA is overpriced for Europeans with its prices at around $15+/kg. Shipping, import duties and taxes are making it even more expensive. I can order from 3+ local shops at $6-7/kg, VAT included and 2 days delivery.

How thick is your hs base?
Why did you had to pay custom fee?
The real price was on the package?!?
Don't you think your hs are a bit small?
Thanks for the info...I will have to order 3 x 1000x165x35mm RAD with 120mm fans!

So you must run your cob passive!?!
Because the one from tme are very good at semi passive...so with a fan but in case of failure the cob get no dammage...just fix the problem and you are good to go...the semi passive is because the base of those hs are 0.5cm (1/5 inch)...supraspl said that 0.7 is what we need for passive cooling...that's it...no need to buy from hsusa and pay 3 or 4 times more...
Anyway tme have a 1000x262x60mm for 145 € with vat with a 0.8mm base...8 cxb would fit passively on this one!
