Skywalker Og Bagseed

First off, I want to say I am not a beginner, but I'm no Pro by far either. I have a few harvests under my belt. Both indoor and outdoor. As far as Indoor goes, I have grown with nearly every light imaginable. I stick with LED and HPS because other lighting just isn't cost effective to me or produces far to much uncontrollable heat. I am becoming far more efficient with LEDs and have started to turn to their side as they dont consume nearly as much power as HPS and run much cooler. Anyway enough of my background lets get into the grow itself.

I am very excited aboout this grow. I have a friend who has grown out a few of the seeds. We got them out of a bag of Skywalker Og from a reputable local source. We got a killer discount though because they knew it had a few seeds it. The Bud was still very sticky and nice. It was also a very great smoke. Very lemony, earthy, and almost incense-y tones.

So here we go. I will try to update daily or at the very least weekly. Any and all questions, comments, concerns, criticisms, or praises are welcome and I will do my best to respond to them all.. That is it for all have to say for now. Happy Growing All and I'll catch you on the flip-side.

Not sure if you're being sarcastic or not. lol. When it comes to my friends plants I couldnt turn their lights off to take pics. You will not get any blurple pics from my garden. when it becomes a garden. lol.

Bagseed might be hermie's so I would buy seeds from reputable breeders.

This may be an issue my buddy warned me about as well. Luckily I have another buddy growing the same seeds who is just now switching to flower so I'll get a heads up from him if there's any problems I have some Green Poison seeds from Nirvana coming to me soon so if I do run into any problems like that I have a backup plan.

Let me start off by saying that I had a very sad thing happen to me since I first posted this Grow Journal. I left my closet open for a few mins to allow some air exchange while I did a few house chores. Sadly in that time one of my dear little fur babies helped them selves to a little seedling snack. All five of my little babies had been eaten, so I had to start all over again. Note to self, if I want to do the air exchange thing make sure fur babies are not in the room and keep the bedroom door shut. lol.

This time around I germinated the same seeds and instead of planting one seed per pot, I decided to plant two per pot. I figured I'd pull the weaker of the two plants as they veg out. Increasing my chance for females in the long run. I am also in the process of trying to root some clones for a friend of mine. He has a wicked awesome female he wants to clone and turn into a mother to eventually do a whole crop from that mother clone. This will be my first time cloning and I'm super excited to be leaping into this adventure.
I put the seeds in paper towels to germinate on 5-27-21. I put 12 seeds in total in the paper towel. Two never popped the rest popped in 24 hours. So I planted them in soil, two per pot, on 5-28-21. They popped soil on 5-30-21.

Okay so Pot #1 only had one plant pop. Pot #2 had a seedling that was very mutated and would not open up so it was pulled. Pots #3 and #4 have two strong and healthy seedlings. Pot #5 has had one plant pulled due to poor health and the other plant has a genetic trait I've never seen before so I'm kind of excited to see how it grows up. Instead of opening with two leaves it opened with three. This is very interesting and I'm curious if anyone else has dealt with this trait before. Now onto the pics. These babies are 4 days old from popping soil and 7 days from seed. Enjoy

Not much to update today so I'll keep it short and sweet...Lets get right into the pictures. lol.

They have jumped quite a bit in growth just in two days. They are going to end up being beautiful little plants. I must say this Viparspectra PS1500 is an awesome light so far. First time I've used any of their products and am very pleased. Anyway on to Pictures.

Sadly this project has to come to an end. My Friends plants are showing signs of herming. I dont want to waste my time growing out hermie plants, but I have a backup. Stay tuned for the same grow setup, but with five feminized Nirvana Green Poison seeds. They are germing in pots now. I will start a new thread as soon as they pop soil. sorry for wasting everyones time, but i will make it up to you with this next project.
