Sleestack x Skunk

So we harvested this stubborn plant and she's been curing around 3 weeks now:

Name - Sleestack Skunk
Judge - Myself
Breeder - Herbies Freebie
Bag Appeal - 5 - Large, chunky buds, full of crimson hairs
Smell - 3 - No skunk smell, just a faint marijuana scent. Bleh
Taste - 1- Harsh as fuck, just terrible
Buzz- 2 - At times, i feel it slightly, other times i just cough my ass off :cry:
Duration - Short. I've jerked -off much longer
Overall - I don't know who the hell bred this, but it is terrible. It grew very easily /healthy, but in flowering, it just wouldn't finish, AND all the top growth (2-3") was devoid of resin. I remember being pissed looking at her @ 7 wks. Trying to find resin on the tops of the buds. Grrrr :twisted: ... I finally had to remove her @ 8 wks because she was crowding up my perpetual, just throwing more pistils and resin-less calyxes. This shit just needs to be thrown into cannabudder, since trying to smoke it results in a coughing fit. Just piss-poor genetics, period. I'll be careful when I run freebies next time, for sure- PS- The Lighter in the pic is just for scale. Unfortunately, the buds really aren't fit for smoking. Going to have to extract. Any Ideas? not really into the haze, but they sure do make a pretty plant!

It's naturally a matter of taste. I like ALL ganja, save an unsavory cannabis ruderalis which imo is pretty useless. I like a day-time (active) buzz during the day, and a sedative at night There's a Lot to be said about hazes and Equatorial Sativas (and the unique buzzes they carry), but I won't bore ya with all the details. I'm guessing you must be an indica girl. I prefer indicas mainly at bedtime, when I am ready to relax. Spent many a day back in my teens trying go "get things done" while smoking a heavy, couch-locking Indica :roll: - lol. Now I'm smarter, and choose my strains accordingly.

i've learned i don't like the taste of the hazes and really like the kush strains. i wish i could find a haze that didn't taste so "piney."
a heavy couch-lock would be a great find for me. i smoke medicinally (but i am the first to admit i like to smoke) and try not to smoke so much during the day that it knocks me out. now that i've found my day smoke (SSDD), i am on the lookout for something just to smoke on at night that will knock me out.
agreed. ruderalis is pretty much useless. ;-)

That's unfortunate for you but great info for the rest of us. I think we were talking in another thread about this strain some time back, I mentioned I got two freebies of it too but luckily for me (now that I know it's not so hot) they were males so I killed em.

Anyway, great review and I'm sure you'll enjoy the CSSH and it will that much better since this one sucked.

On a side note, the anesthesia you mentioned, I need something to knock me out at night, will that do the trick or can you recommend a very, very sedative strain?

No sweat Frosty :-P - I haven't smoked it but anesthesia = NL x Black Domina, and Pyramid Seeds = a Good Breeder /\ :hump: -available @ herbies. UBC Chemo was developed in the 70's for cancer patients. You can find it @Hemp Depot. I figure if it eases their pain, I'm pretty sure it will be adequate for our needs (muscle spasms, RLS, pain, and a sleep-aid, etc), and as a general sedative narcotic. Imo, they both deserve a good run for both the Indica lover /medical grower alike. :bigjoint: PS- The Anesthesia actually comes with a "warning" saying it's a "powerful and sedative stone". NL x Black Domina? - Yeah, I believe them ;)

I am so glad that I when I popped the slee x skunk all of them died due to super low humidity and me not getting home in time. Cannabis that isn't smokeable isn't worth my time unless it is a golden male that will make my females so frosty that it looks like colorado snow.

Speaking of grow / smke report would you mind voting for my next one the poll is in my sig. Sorry to bug lolol I just am trying to get the peoples choice of what strain they want reviewed out of the ones I have available.

I am, really thankful that he wrote this smoke report / journal because I won't ever mess with those beans lol.
