Hi need advice..1st grow. In coco n perlite under 400 watt dimmable dimmed to 250 and boosted to 270 will give em full 400 watt when repotted (5 - 7 days) and boosted to 475 on change over. Ph,ed water with quarter strength a+b and rizitonic, area Is 1.5 x1.5 loft temps 23 hot and 15 degrees cool has went down to 13 once or twice..Are they growing slow? Would be nice to hear from some experienced growers on here, newbee to the site and growing..thanks in advance. First pic is 11/11 and second is 28/11 17 days growth as this is my first grow so I'm unsure how quickly my plants should be growing thanks again.WP_20141111_002.jpg

Problem is that you potted directly into larger pots right away. Seedlings new to dirt spend most all their time and energy putting down a rootball to feed and support the plant. So your seedlings will appear to be growing slow because all the action is underground. As soon as my seedlings are taller than the solo cup they are in, I transplant them into small 7 x 7 inch pots. Seedling roots reach the inside of the pot much sooner - and that is a signal to the plant to start growing greenery. It will likely take your seedlings 3-4 weeks for the roots to fill out and then redirect their energy to growing leaves. My seedlings will have "rooted out" in just 1-2 weeks.

Next time transplant early and often to take fuller advantage of the plants' natural growth patterns. Good luck, BigSteve.

Nothing to worry about here, I agree with bigsteve. Seedlings spend time putting down roots and top growth takes a backseat.

I would hold off on adding nutrients this early in the game. I usually wait until the cotyledon leaves start turning yellow or fading to yellow.

At that stage get some superthrive and a spray bottle to apply nutrients...transplanting a couple times before its final pot is a good regiment...solo, 1 gallon and 7 gallon fabric grow bag is what works for me...g/l
