small buds

Hi Everyone,

Im growing early misty am about 6 weeks into flower some tricomes are going amber but my buds are tiny. Top cola is pathetically small.

I have never cut any branches or anything - does anyone know reasons behind small buds. I have used a fertiliser for large buds but it has done nothing.

The plany did go through irregular light cycles as i was moving house and had to hide it from agents ect.

I only started using a 400w HPS light about 2 weeks ago - before that it was on CFLs - could it be the lack of lumens from when she was i neary days of flowering.

It could be any of these things...make sure everything is consistent and give it some time before drawing conclusions. You're only halfway through, and the most important thing about growing is consistency. same ph, same nute schedule, same watering schedule, same light schedule, etc... shock occurs when these things change and the plant tries to adapt, therefore slowing growth and during flower this will seriously affect bud size.

more watts = bigger buds consistency(temp,timing,etc...)= bigger buds. how far away did you keep your lights buddy you want to get them as close as possible without burning your plants, a good test is to put your hand under your light if its hot for your hand it will burn your plants. another major factor could be the actual genetics of the plant what strain are you growing? if you can invest in solid genetics.
