Small growspace question.

Okay so I have one plant in a small grow space. I was wondering if I only vegged for a couple weeks before I moved to 12/12 if I could keep it small but still get bud. I'm not really going for quantity its kinda just an experiment. My grow space is 1 1/2 ft. X 1 1/2 ft. X about 3 ft. Tall. Thanks for any input :]]

Yes it will "work" you will get some good bud. You yield will be small, and if grown from seed your plant will be immature going into flowering thus giving you a small yield. Is there some kind of time constraint? Is that why you do not want to veg longer than two weeks?

No there's no time restraint. Size would be the only issue I can't have it get talled than about 30 inches. And smell I guess but that won't be too big of a problem.
It is from seed what are the cons of that?

Well there are many options when working with a small grow area. Have you considered LST (low stress training) or the SCROG method? I would describe them but there are literally thousands of pages of information on both of these methods here on RiU.

The only real con of seeds is the fact that you just don't know. Even when buying seeds from a reputable seed company, phenotypes can vary and you kind of have to play it by ear when it comes to the growth pattern of your plant.

I have had some great luck with a few little side projects growing bag seed, but it really is luck of the draw.

You don't give a great deal of info so lets assume that this is a soil grow. A 2 gallon pot is about 9 inches tall, you are down to 2' 3". Don't want to put a light at the top do you? All CFL side lighting? MMM may be right but I can't see how you are going to SCROG on an 18" X 18" footprint, the pot is 9".
