I have done gumbo bubble hash before (I think thats how they call it...) with the 5 gallons buckets and it worked ok ... I used to use coffee filter for the last step but I dont really like it... ( I will get bags soon... )
Last time I simply remove as much water as I could without wasting any trichs and I put the thing next to the dehumidifier and it took about a week or so to get all the water out.
I was just wondering if any of you have a better way of doing this that would be great ...
And for anyone that has never done water hash before I ll just tell you what I did now and you ll get the idea. I had about 1+ oz of very dry grounded outdoor buds (I dont think its ideal to have grounded buds but thats what I had... leaves too much green matter in the end product?) I filled the rest of the jar up to 3/4 mark with ice and a little bit of water and shook really hard for 10-15 min. Then simply strain to remove ice/green matter (I like to squeeze the green stuff to get all the water out with the trichs) Voila!
At this point all you have to do is let it sit for 4 hours without touching the jar, then without moving the jar whatsoever get a 1/4 inch pipe and suck that water out (helps to be near a sink...) get as close as you can to the line of trichromes without touching it, at this point you have enough water to stir everything up and poor it into ...
... that's where I am at right now. I have done the coffee filter too so you can try that that works but it can get messy and it works better once you know what you are doing.
THANKS FOR YOU HELP

EDIT
The last picture is only an hour later I will update in about 3 hours to show you if it has changed and if it's worth waiting...
