Small Tent - Help Needed

The tent is 20"x36"x60". We're trying to figure out what kind of HPS light and fan/filter combo should be used for a tent this size.

My friend is looking at virtual sun, but the reflectors for the "air cooled" and "wing cooled" are a couple inches too big.

It seems that the only light that would fit in this tent isn't air cooled, unless you kept the wings off the wing cooled tube, but how would one fit a fan/filter and the light in such a small tent?

I guess I'm wondering how he would deal with such a small tent, and no air cooled light. Wouldn't the heat be way too much if the light isn't air cooled?

Also wondering, If he did find an air cooled reflector that fit in that tent, would he need the 6in fan? I've been told the 4in would be more than enough for a tent of this size, but how would you even hook 4in ducting to a 6in reflector?

Any suggestion could be very helpful. Thanks.

I used to a tent the same exact size. I just got some LEDs they were relatively cheap and producd great results with hardly any heat at all. That keeps you from having to buy any crazy inline and exhaust fan. I used a 6 inch booster fan from lower as my exhaust.

400w hps in cooltube, take the wings off if you have to. When you put that much light into such a small area you really don't need to worry about all the positives of different reflectors, all you need is something reflective above the bulb, use a 5" cooltube n a 5" axial fan to cool it.
Regarding extraction the obvious thing to do would be to mount filter horizontally along the 3' wall with ducting going out the exhaust hole on tent and into a centrifugal fan then more ducting to wherever you like.
If you don't have space for the filter in the tent then you could have it outside the tent with ducting going in. This is not normally recommended but if your ductwork is on point you won't have a problem.

Fuck an air cooled hood. They are overrated. Point a box fan or mini fan at that fucker. Place filter at highest point. Oversize fan and filter, vent to another room or outside or place setup in a cool area.

The downsides to air cooled are your night and day temp swings will have to be managed by other means.
You lose light.
More equip and ducting.
If fan fails bulb will over heat.
Id rather have a 10lbs hood fall than a 30lbs one.
