Smallest tent possible?

So im currently growing 2 small autos in a 2x2x4 but the space it’s taking up in my house isn’t ideal. It’s not so much the width. But the height. 4 foot high seems pretty excessive for an auto.
For my next grow I’d like to use a much smaller tent that could fit one auto from start to finish.

What is the smallest tent you’ve successfully grown a single auto in?

Your getting into a whole other competition now.. who has the smallest auto grow cabinet is a real thing. I recommend googling nano cabinet grow and get some ideas. If you use reddit, there’s a sub for nano growing as well. I’m only aware of it because it impressive yet entertaining.

Haha - not looking for the worlds smallest grow space by any means. Just anything smaller in height than 4’ really!

Oh I know, there are some great ideas out there though. Off the top of my head any tent I have seen under 4ft were modified but that don’t mean there not out there. Good luck in your search!

If you want shorty autos .... you can either run Low Ryder / dwarfy strains and run multiple small bags as a SOG style grow.
Many autos like those will run a single dominate cola. Or you can LST an auto early , to shape or bonzai it.

Autos can hit 4 foot and better heights on its own .

This is gonna sound counter to what most growers will say to do ......

BUT the following will work .... Grow your autos in smaller containers, plant will bottom out and move to flower a bit sooner.
Yield will be less according to some strains but if there is a will , there is a way.
Or run 12/12 regs in a similar matter.

Shit - my autos are about 1 foot high and they are on week 4 and just entering flowering. Tell me they are going to shoot up right? or is that pretty much their height

You want a bigger plant or a smaller plant? A bigger pot and the right genetics will fill the tent you already have.

Or make a smaller tent with PVC and panda film to accommodate small plants.

Here's a pic of the cabinet. The light and the seeds were free from a friend - the enclosure is a joke and falling apart. I have to wrap it in a blanket during the dark cycle. I'm planning to make another (upgraded) small enclosure just for starting and vegging.

But with all the screw ups and set backs - I'm going to have smoke soon! - gl on yours!

Serious question -- why bother if a 2x2x4 is too big???

The work you put in making small plants in a 2x2x4 is the same work you would do in a 4x4x8. Not to say you want a 4x4x8 but wow its a lot of work growing to shoot for a very small harvest.

I have a 2x2x4, I cannot imagine thinking its too tall! Curious why you want this so small

Don't forget the hanging depth of your light.

You'll have about 3' of vertical space if you setup vertically and rig the lights tighter than stock.

Air intake down low, exhaust up high to mitigate heat.

I manually cycled my lights and sealed the enclosure each cycle instead of building taller - Covid left me time on my hands...

Not speaking for OP, but for me it was proof of concept before investing money.

I just cut down the first plant I've ever grown - ever. That little grow has been a tiny taste of Wonderland.

Just started 7 in a 4x4x80 today - hoping for fall harvest.
First step down The Rabbit Hole! :eyesmoke:

I won't be surprised if winter finds me discovering just how deep The Rabbit Hole goes....

So the main reason I want a smaller tent is because my current tent is in the room next to my bedroom and find it quite hard to sleep next to my fan.
I’d like to move it to the living room but would rather just have a small, a little more discreet tent if moving.
