smell flowering vs dry/cure

from the looks of it my plant should be ready to harvest. but the last few days my carbon filter hasnt been quite able to keep up with smell so randomly if i check by where the vent comes out i can smell it if i take a deep inhale, so i was wondering do the plants smell more now while alive and flowering, or does the smell get stronger while it dries/cures. (this will be done in the grow room with lights off to aid in hiding the smell) Thanks

My first (and only) grow got quite skunky smelling just before harvest. I would not dry indoors. It will get even more smelly, so if your filter couldn't keep up (mine couldn't either), then it won't keep up during drying. Secondly, if your drying in an enclosure, it may not dry properly.

I highly recommend finding some attic space. It will likely already be vented properly, and should dry it nicely. And, without having to run fans. I put mine in the attic and couldn't smell anything inside or out.

Good luck.

Filters do not work well it the humidity is high either in the grow room or outside. The filter clogs and then doesn't work properly
