Smells crappy

At what point are my buds gonna start smelling like you'd expect? Right now they smell really "green". They are hanging out to dry now... will the smell start to change towards the end of the drying period, or am I gonna have to wait until a week or 2 into curing?

I'd love to come home tomorrow and open my dry closet up and have the skunky smell hit me in the face!

the dank smell won't return until after you've started jar curing them. too much chlorophyll in the buds right now, which cancels out the "bud" smell.

aye. but drying and curing are two separate things. you don't want to dry your buds out too much before you cure them in jars. curing makes the difference between just ok smoke, to awesome smoke with excellent flavor and aroma.

uh oh ..... heres a topic i didnt spend hours reading about ..... drying is basically hanging them from a string upside down right ? what is curing ? i dont mean to make ppl write it down but it helps me quicker ..... is curing the process after drying ? and what does it do if the weeds already dry ? like JPS said curing makes a diff of ok to aewsome smoke ... so does that mean it brings the potency in the bud out more then it would if it wasnt cured ... and if it wasnt cured would it still be good .... cheers
