Smoke infused vermiculite popping up everywhere, worth a try?

So lately I've seen "smoke infused" vermiculite popping up everywhere. .the hipsters must have found it cause I'd never seen it before (and we all know that if I can't see it, it was never there lol), and it's now at every nursery and organic shop
.

Do you guys reckon there would be any benefit? Supposed to be good for anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties for germination, but I've always been under the impression that there are plenty of beneficial moulds, fungi and bacterias that benefit germination and rooting.

Do you think smoke infused vermiculite is worth a try, or just smoke and mirrors?

The rationality behind most of the brands is that seeds germinate very well after bushfires.

It’s for smoke responsive species
I was wondering if it was more geared towards natives that thrive in carbon rich areas. We have lots of natives here that thrive after fires..

Just found it interesting that these have recently popped up everywhere with the gist being a that's it's basically a magic germination medium. The couple I saw recommended straight vermiculite for germination and seedling stages.

sorry i ment to reply to the lol before my post. Im sure its just some new hipster thing going on and someone trying to cash in on a new thing.
how can vermiculite thats smoked be any different other than it beeing anti bacterial or fungal.
As you mentioned it bennifical to have those things.
Seems like something better suited for mushroom propagation

No worries, didn't come across as rude. I figured it was about the hipster comments lol.

I was just surprised how quickly these mixes popped up here.
