Yeah, man. *scratches head*

We're gonna figure this one out here soon.... looks like a prob with conditions.

You think you should ease those lights up a bit? Maybe move 'em another 6 inches away from the plant?

It looks kinda hot in there still...
Yeah looks hot with lotsa humidity....read up on heat index...applies to plants even moreso than to us

Current conditions in the room are 82 degrees and 36% RH. From everything I have read about CFL, they need to be within about 3 inches of the plant for the light to have full effect. I did remove a couple of the small lights around the bottom of the plant. I was just using those to keep the under canopy growing and fed with light. Now that I am starting to see white hairs popping everywhere, I will concentrate the lights on a couple of the spots where bud formation looks most promising...

As always, guys... thanks for the help!

And yes, that is broken glass in the floor.... broke one of my bulbs while doing the reset. Cleaned up now but not when these were taken!

Well there's a tradeoff...yes in a perfect world they should be close as possible but as you have seen it is causing too much heat..75-78F is the best range for the plant....balance the light you are providing with the heat it is causing...you will come out much better with proper temps and lights farther away than up close and too hot....so one way or another either by moving the lights away or increasing ventilation you need to do it or it won't improve my friend...regardless of the nutes

Hope it helps

Exactly! What's worse: A plant not getting optimum lighting conditions, or a plant getting its root system cooked?

Looking better already, Alli, the lighting placement, too.

Still, I'd raise all the lights to the same level for now--- not to sound too pushy..... I was gonna suggest just flipping those two lower lights of for a couple days, actually.....

Yup it's a trade off , resist the urge to keep all those lights on . Cut back to minimal light for a few , give them gurls a break on the heat and you will be surprised .

Hey- another thing--

Since the soil dries up that quickly, you can water from the bottom- ever done that before?

I see you mixed those nutes in a bucket,

so take the whole potted plant, and slowly submerge the whole pot into the solution,

and slowly raise up. You can let the runoff go into another bucket.

This'll get that soil uniformly wet, and close up any air pockets. Doubt it would takes 2 days to dry if ya do that... This will enrich the soil evenly, too.
I agree. I feed my plants from the bottom. I use flood and drain with all my plants in soil. For 1 thing, I can give all of the plants the same nutes and it's a lot easier to control the waterings. For every stage of development I have a separate ressy. This has been working great for me.

I will try raising all of the lights to the same level and see what happens. I might also kill one more of the fixtures to see where that puts me. I don't know that I could get much more ventilation in that room than I have now. I have the one small fan that you can see in the pics blowing the hot air up and out of the shower enclosure and then I have a full size fan blowing the air out of the room and yet this whole back part of the house is warmer than the rest of the house from the lights. Still trying to get the perfect balance, but I honestly don't see how I will be able to keep the ambient temps below 80 without adding some sort of air conditioner or cooler in the room. The rest of the house we keep at around 71-72 degrees.
Tomorrow is the second watering with the 1-2-3, which I am going to keep using for a while to get the plant the food it needed. Next watering after will be a good flush with just lots of RO water.

Yeah, looks like you got it figured out now- The closer to 80 degrees, the better.

Took a second look at the latest shots, and the new growth looks healthy. We should see a complete turnaround as the conditions improve- nice work.

Hit 'em with another watering of 1-2-3 today and the bud sites are starting to show where they are really going to be popping at. I am sure that you can see the difference in the top part of the plant after a little over a week on the SNG nutes, it is without a doubt looking greener, happier and healthier! Next watering will be in a couple of days and I will do a flush with 2.5-3 gallons of pure RO and then back to the feeding schedule! Thanks DOL! I can safely say that my girl would be much less happy without your help so far!

So I guess we can say that tweaking the conditions were just as crucial as getting on a well rounded feeding regimen.

Suppose you'll take her all the way on this thread- or should I follow the original thread?

Sorry to have been away so long... life and all of that. Been watering them with the 1-2-3 each watering over the last few weeks. Here are the updated pics as of today.

Enjoy! As you can see, the plant is beginning to get bud clusters and is much happier than it was a few weeks ago! Looks like this one is going to be a slow developer, but that is not a problem, I've got the patience to wait on her to be ready!
