Snapped branch where topping is usually performed

So I was bending some o branches of a planted that had grown quite tall during vegging to let some light penetrate the lower canopy and happened to snap one of the heads clean off where vegging usually occurs. Was wondering if there's any chance of two growing where the one was. Also when it snaps completely off, any hope of it healing if taped back into place ? (finding it very difficult to keep it propped in place)

You can stick a tooth pick inside.
