100 watts ofCree will not cover a 2x4. You're gonna need a minimum of 25 watts per square foot, with 30 to 50 watts per square foot being ideal.

^ That is a better deal. it's only a few bucks more, but has almost double the wattage. You'd ideally want a bar style fixture or one of the XL QBs for a 2x4 tent, but those single Veros from Timber should do all right.

If you're somewhat handy with a saw and a cordless driver, you should pick up the 200 watt Citizen DIY kit from Timber and build a frame to fit your tent.

I just started my second grow with a Optic 2 LED in essentially a 2 x 2 x 5.5 tent. I say essentially because it is actually 27" x 27" x 66", a few inches bigger than a 2x2. Light fills the space nicely and gives plenty of light for 4 plants. I would go with the optic 4 to be honest for your size or two optic 2's.

@jtrizzy - hey there, unfortunately - they sold out of the optic 2 (it was on sale for $325 CAD) - optic XL's were also soldout, so i went with the optic 4. I was using a 2x2x5 tent, wondering if you suggest upgrading to a 3x3....or, is that unnecessary? I'm just doing a coco gro , 1 plant in VEG under a 150w HPS...seems to be doing fine, it's hung fairly high.

Ya that’s a little much for a 2x2. I have. Optic 2 in a 2x2 which gives me 50w per Square foot. Optic 4 can do 2x3 or 3x3 without issue. So ya I would go bigger for many reasons. 415w in a 3x3 brings to 46w a square foot which is perfect. Will do well in that size. So far so good with optic two. Dense buds so far. I’ll know for sure when they done in 2-3 weeks. Also in a 3x3 you can put 6 plants in 3 gallon fabric pots. Should give a great canopy if you flip early and Scrooge or 6 autos.
