So many tent options - what do I get?!

Hi all,

I'm looking for a 2x4 tent. Recently I bought a mars hydro 2x4x6 on Amazon for $220 CAD.

I can find it from another vendor for $180ish and save $40 returning the Amazon one.

I know there are vivosun tents for $110 on Amazon, but I've been told I'll really be lacking space in a 2x4x5 vs a 2x4x6 so unfortunately I'll just have to pony up the coin.

I'm also now looking at a secret jardin for roughly the same price as the mars hydro. If I'm already skipping out on the budget line, maybe this makes sense? I've seen some mixed reviews online about light leakage but I really like the scrog net and reinforcement bars to maximize space.

Anyone have any opinions on these? Links below!

What kind of lighting you gonna use? Pot/container size? Do you plan on growing tall plants or fill a wide canopy? You got a 2x4x6 for $220 and you can get a 2x4x5 for $110, 1ft of extra head room for twice the price seems quite absurd unless you intend to grow taller plants/use big pots

Their tents were great early on but nowadays they seem to have a real lack of quality control and as you said aren't the safest out there. They are far over priced compared to other tents of better quality now.
I just replaced my secret jardin tents that were 7 years old with fusion tents. I am very happen with them so far and like the locking metal connectors over the plastic ones the secrets jardins have.

I'm going to use a 320W quantum board. Plan is to scrogg eventually but I don't know how tall they'll get.

Totally understand that it seems crazy to double the cost, but in absolute sense the cost differential is pretty negligible. ~$100 in the long term isn't much of a difference if it means I won't be running out of space. I've only heard of frustration on the 5fters.

Hey! I live in Canada too. Good to know about Jardin. I may just keep my tent then and buy from a cheaper retailer.

I'll check out your recommendation tho!
