So my DWC setup is pretty sweet, and you guys should see it.

I have posted before and havent kept up with it, but I figured I would update and show my setup to everyone else. Old thread here. Here is a pic of my system. It is fully loaded with chiller, bio chamber, auto-fill, 16 buckets(this harvest was all seeds and we lost half to males so theres only 8 filled), and 2000W. We expect to be pullin 3lbs this round and 4 next time with a more even canopy. Check it out! Questions welcome as well.

We also have a coco room for those who are into that kind of thing.

In the hood!

Nice setup frosted flaker! What kind of hood is that and is it a dual light fixture? In a room that size heat probably isn't an issue but do you have to run an a/c unit in there? The peralite is a nice touch too.

Some hard duct would look boss up in there

I absolutely agree! We are still not set up the way we plan to keep it, so the hard ducting will come after next harvest/next funds. Thanks though man!
Funny thing about the ducting actually.... I was tryin to figure out why the outside was smellin, and I moved the fan in the pic to directly on the filter and it fixed it lickity split. Only problem is that lights have a couple leaks so it increased the room temp a couple of degrees. Luckily, it almost done and we can fix all the leaks and aesthetics when we harvest.

Not a dual fixture, but there is a smaller hood behind it you cant see. Right now there is no need for AC because its winter, but in the summer there needs to be one. The air pumps, water pumps, and the chiller put off some heat. Right now the temp is 80 in there when all lights are on.

Yeah you generally want those fans close to the filters. As the more runs of duct and fittings the greater the static pressure and the less CFMs pass through it. And that flex duct is the worst in terms of static pressure.

Air being a fluid it follows a path of least resistance, your prior setup a least resistance was exhausting stinky air through the reflector, then whatever it couldnt pull through there it was pulling through the filter. The incoming stinky air into the reflector had greater pressure than the filtered air coming through so no filter air escaped, so you had no temperature rise. I'll take a 2-3F rise in temperature versus stinking up my neighborhood any day.
