Sodastream Soda machine, makes CO2

Hi All,
im high (as usual )watching TV and they advertise a home soda making machine with three levels of carbonation.

it got me thinking can it be hacked like change switches add a timer and add a copper ring to disperse the CO2.

am I just to High??

anyone done this or considered it??

I see the replacement C02 is sold at target, staples etc. turn in an empty and buy a new one.
$15 for a 60L can, I really don't know what that works out to, if that's 60 dumps of C02 or less??

The co2 bottles that power large drink vending machines
can be used as they are much bigger , this is considered food grade or whatever also

they have some strange mushroom/fungus bucket kits that produce co2 that can be used on a small scale
or other folk tend to brew some other co2 releasing mixture ,
unless you are able to measure and direct the co2 at the plants it should be dropped on them from above
i'm not sure if its worth doing unless its well planned in a controlled sealed environment or at least auto controlled injection of co2
