SOG grow bag size question

I bought a bunch of 5 gallon felt grow bags when I thought I was going to be growing some trees. I've since decided, because of height restrictions, that I should try a SOG instead. As the 5 gallons would be overkill and take up too much space, I was thinking I could put (2 or 3 or 4) clones per bag (no veg time). Would this be a mistake? Has anyone tried this? Thanks in advance for any thoughts. (don't post much, but read a lot...this site and the people here have been extremely helpful).
