Soil aeration

Sometimes for whatever reason, like when you might have vegged a plant to long for the size of the pot that the plant is in. You may end up with a root system that gets so compressed that air and water / nutrients can no longer reach many roots in a certain pot, so spiking the shit out of that pot literally allows many of the roots in those spiked areas to get air and water / nutrients that they might never get if you didn't alleviate those overly compressed areas by spiking the shit out of that certain pot!

i personally am doing so via an experiment using earth worms. so far seems to be doing great compared to when i didn't do anything. i use the worms for composting ( vermicomposting ) and recycle all my soil and other shit into compost for gardening so either way it's a win win situation for me.

Just promix soil
Skewer the heck out of it. All the way to the bottom of the container. Especially that hardened root mass under the plant. I do this between every feeding or watering. It will help immediately and will not hurt the plant.

Is soil aeration a good idea?
Not so much if you know what you need to do... am growing whithouth aerators and have plants in better
shape then those ones that use aerators, whithouth aerators and with using beneficial bacteries and mycos
have best results ever...

before when i used perlite or peat there was always problems with deficience and with fungus gnats,
plants performed poorly compared to pure soil..
