soil contaminated with miracle grow and roots are showing out of the bottom of pots!?

ok so i used soil that was, unbeknownst to me, already treated with miracle grow.. i was totally under the impression that it was just generic potting soil with no ferts in it but ya my plants are showing burnish brown edges on their leaves. these are new seedlings, approx 2 and a half weeks old, and im not sure how i can condition out the miracle grow.. should i transplant early?? i want to order fox farm right now and transplant asap especialllyyy cuz i just saw major roots at the bottom of my 12 oz cups.. does that mean they are ready to transplant?? please help guys any advice greatly appreciated!!

heres an example of some of the negative things im seeing on the leaves

k ive got 5.5 x 5.5 x 5.625 square pots coming in as well as some fox farm ocean forest soil, is that pretty much a good size upgrade from small 8 oz cups ?(i think they're a little bit smaller than regular size 12 oz dixie cups)

when i transplant do i just wet the soil before going through with the whole transplant? what are any of your tips for transplanting? thanks again guys!

I go from almost dry soil with the plant to be transplanted to moist soil in the new medium so the roots can stretch out. Than water
lightly.

excellent man that makes sense thank you.. but do you think going from small cups to a 5.5 x 5.5 square container is a good size upgrade? do u just put the newly transplanted plant in the center of the new pot and just sort of fill in around the sides with soil? any advice is greatly appreciated!

I would put it in the last pot it will grow in.. So whatever size you choose, fill the pot intill you have enough soil, (don't do to much) cuz you wanna put in another inch of soil once you place the plant in there, before so I make a hole with my pinky in the soil

im thinking since im doing cfl lighting and its in a closet i might not want more than a foot of growth.. maybe two feet tops, do you think 5.5 x 5.5 pots.. i think thats almost gallon sized.. would be sufficient for plants no more than 2 feet tall? anyways i already ordered some from ebay so hopefully i wont haveto do any more transplants after this..

but also what do you think about the possibility that i burned my plants with soil that may have been slightly tainted with miracle grow? im seeing some burnt up edges on a couple of my seedlings' leaves and im really concerned 8( i dont think its the lights and i've been keeping my waterings to about once every two days.. thanks again guys! oh and happy 420!

Personally, I would select 2- or 3-gallon pots. Roots are still growing during flower, and soil mass helps put on bud mass. Jmo. cn

ya i know bro.. i really wanna just go straight to 2 gallon pots right away so that i know those roots can just keep on doin their thing at their leisure.. but ive got about 18 seedlings and i wanted to try and wait a bit to see which ladies will be my most successful before throwing out the cash to not only get big pots but enough fox farm to fill them.. this way i feel like i can still let them grow without having to go spend alota money.. but definitely true.. thanks man
