Hi there.. So i stumbled across this method by accident but it seems to work. I started by trying to figure out how to get my soil pots to water themselves for a week... I stated them on a wick system vut when it came time to transplant i realixed my realm was limited to the corner i painted myself in... So i got a net pot filled it with soil dropped into a small bucket with a geyser pump to drip water from top..i read up on the effects of organic water in dwc systems and how they can cause root rot... Heres the thing.... Ph if wster coming out of geyser pump has been at 7... Emptied it once ... Always had a bad septic smell... But plant grows fine...?!!..ive added that rizo stuff and myco something ba teria powder thingy..... ...
Heres what i thinks going on... Plants happy in soil..ai got controlled root rot where the main root body in soil is constantly being trimmed... The root matter might be getting converted into ints own plant food by the good bacteria and getting aerated by being waterfalled onto the top... The soil somehow filters out the excess nutes n saves it for later...i checked ppms n it was at 1500 at the first sign of flower... Its at week 5 n getting frosty...buds smell great water smells bad... Wtf is going on here?..some how ive made this plant grow despite eveyrhing im reading telling me im doing it way wrong... Ive got 5 others that are rdwc in soil medium and they have steady 6.2-6.4 ph and ppms are soing the normal dip after weekly feedings..plants look healthy from another pov.so I been told..well im gonna get my first post out... I want to share all my random mad science and perhaps someone can explain why it is n isnt working.. I am open to your feedback... My quam here is why is a system where soil and water are not supposed to mix producing growing plants... I will post further to go i to better detail.. Tapping this on a phone so im kinda overexcited and underequipped to say what i wanna say..thank you growers
