Soil mix: Have compost, opinions?

So I started a garden compost pile sometime last year. Currently it's underneath a few inches of snow... no biggie.

It consists of leaves, grass clippings, fruits and vegetables from eating, yata yata... list goes on.

Pretty much your run of the mill compost.

I live in the northwest, and I'm growing with a friend outdoors this coming up season.

What's the preferred mix of some of you old growing pro's out there. I'm not looking for a specific answer, so if you want to just tell me to go looking somewhere on this forum your wasting time. I want general, honest, tried and true opinions.

Something to help broaden my perspective to things i may not have thought of before. Never hurts hurts to learn, especially an amateur grower like myself... =P

1... 2... 3... GROW! haha

Have you turned that pile or added any activator, store bought compost. If not it might not be ready by spring. I also like to add a few other things like fish scrap, horse manure, nasty moldy hay (alfalfa is best),and a few random bags of horse/cow feed(without antibiotics). You can get most this stuff for free if you look around. Back to your real question. I like to add my compost to my existing soil 3-1(hard clay,sandy)2-1 for everything in between. I only go 1-1 for on holes i used the year before. There are more things you can add depending on whats available to you and how much you want to spend.

Ya that's pretty monstrous of a yield, my sights are definitely no where near that! (but one can dream...)

probably 2 plants in large buckets.

I'm thinking 2-1 compost:Soil
Throw in the natural organic substances like cow manure, fish meal, etc...
What's your preference on getting the proper texture and consistency, because right now this compost is probably 80-90% decomposed, and kinda of still clumped?

No, it was made right in my own back yard. Au Natural! It was started sometime about last April, turned about once every 2-3 weeks, or whenever something considerable was added to it.

Really it's a cost-availability-efficiency sort of ratio for whatever goes into this. Not really big budget.
