Soil Mixes

I need a few organic soil mixes. i have sand, compost, peatmoss, and worm castings. i need some measurements for how much to add of each. i'm growing indoors and using 3- 5 gallon buckets.

Any soil mixes are accepted :peace:

i use mg soil (organic) with worm casting, blood meal, mushroom compost and lots or perlite,,,,,i use this for my transplants....for starting off, i just use mg soil (organic) and wormcastings....

If not then can you be a little more specific.

ok i want a mixture of soil that i can make at home i already have peat moss, worm castings, sand, and a compost all i was looking for was how much of each would be the right mixture to make a great soil.

i always just eye it out, i mix it until it feels nice. i usually sift/screen my compost so it's very fine.

o ok but it would be my first time making soil so i need some type of guideline to go by... and i'll do the compost sifting 2

15% Compost & Worm Castings
20% Sand
10% Peatmoss
40% Soil

1 part Compost
1 part "Topsoil"*
1 part Perlite or Vermiculite
1 part "Manure"**

* The Topsoil I use is store-bought stuff (in 1 1/2 cu. ft. bags). It doesn't "feel" like dirt - it has the consistency of Potting Mix.

** The Manure "part" can be anything from steer manure to poultry dropings or bat guano. It can even be a more conventional mixture of "meals" such as Bone, Blood, Kelp, Alphalpha, etc. The idea is to give the finished soil a 25% volume of "Fertilizer". The important thing to remember is that the "Manure" or "Fertilizer" part is 1/4 of the overall volume and may need to be "cut" with some filler so that the "Hotness" of the Fertilizer part stays about equal to straight steer manure.
