This strain will stretch out on you if you're not careful. I veged with 1000W halide and bloomed with 2000Ws sodium. Most of my room was filled with NL. This was an experiment. My first SOMA Lav seeds had a low germination, but I was given a replacement from SD. New ones did much better. I only grew two of them to maturity out of the 7 that sprouted, both female of course. One male from the seven was used to collect pollen, the rest were let go. These two females looked nearly identical, with one putting on a little more resin. Overall a super smoke. Flavor and smell were top notch. I prefer short, bushy plants and Lavendar is NOT one of them, but it's a must if you love great flavor and relaxing body medicine.
One note, none of it turned purple. Most leaves turned bright yellow a couple weeks before harvest, quite the opposite of what I expected in that area. It was hotter than hell in my town during this crop, and I had to use lots of AC to keep the room cool. I have a hard time believing there was any N problem, but I suppose it's always possible. I take a lot of time to mix my organic soil with lots of good stuff so I think it's likely that the cool temps were to blame for no purple. I could very well be wrong though. I'll be trying again this winter when it's not important to cool the room off so much.
Overall, I'd say get yourself some Lavendar, it's great smoke.

I have a room about 1/6 the size of a small bedroom. I run 1000-2000 watts of halide and sodium depending upon the strain and which cycle I'm on. 24 hours for veg, 14 hours for flower until the last week or two. I then go down to 12 hours. I use mostly organic soil with misc additives and add a little bloom ferts halfway through the flowering cycle. Each watering takes place right before the dirt starts to shrink up in the pots.
