Some basic watering/nutrients questions...please help

Just transferred clones into pots about a week ago... a couple are starting to grow nice a couple are not really growing yet. should I use any fertilizer ? The guy at the hydro store told me with the soil im using it shouldn't require and nutrients until im ready to flower. Also am I better of giving a lot of water every few days letting the soil go dry in between or should I water every day keeping the soil moist all the time ???? Thanks for your help

Do not use nutrients with soil until your plants show the begginings of a deffeciency or are well developed. To many nutes will kill your plants and usually good soil does have enough nutes for a month or so. Also a good for watering is feeling the pot, if its very light water. When its heavy there is still water in the soil.
