Hello folks,
So with the recent complaints about Nirvana, including mine from yesterday, I felt an update was needed.
Yesterday, John was kind enough to personally respond to my thread and we have been in contact outside the forum. I can assure you John does, in fact, work for Nirvana.
I am pleased with the resolution we came to regarding my issue of not receiving my order. I would like to say John is not an unreasonable man by any means.
Regarding the glove thread...Look folks, if I were John, I would be upset about my discreet shipping methods being revealed online. Regardless of how he responded to it, it's obvious he was stunned and wanted it resolved quickly. You would too if you were in his shoes.
Sure law enforcement can order whatever they want in order to catch on to the latest shipping methods...This takes TIME.
First they need reason to do it (like random inspection catching one). Next they have to place the order, which means they need to approve an identity and address for it to be sent to, this takes time as well. Then they have to wait to get it. Then do all the proper procedures for processing that. Now they have to send out notification to everyone for specifics on what to look for.
All this takes a enormous amount of time, you all know how slow the US Govt. is at things. It's this time that your packages *ARE* getting through.
Anyone that orders seeds online for shipment to the states and doesn't understand there is a certain amount of risk involved is absolutely nuts or just plain dumb. You can't place the blame on Nirvana for this, it is beyond their control.
For those of you that order larger amounts, I admit that it's gotta hurt pretty bad to have one of those nabbed. I suggest placing several smaller orders throughout several days in order to minimize your risk of a total loss.
About John's demeanor. Quite simply, he got pushed and he pushed back. He was simply trying to protect his business, just like any of you would do.
My best advice I can give you is that if you are a victim of your seeds deciding to vacation elsewhere, contact the vendor with professionalism. Don't shoot of an email saying, "yo dog i aint got my shit, you ripped me you cocksuckers, send my shit!". Be polite and give them the opportunity to take care of you. Such as, "Hello there, I placed my order about 6 weeks ago on [date] and they hit step 7 of 7 on [date]. It has been 5 weeks now and I have yet to receive my order. I also have (or have not) received a customs letter (also known as a love letter). Could you look into this and get back to me? Thanks a bunch, [name used to place order]".
Now, they might take care of you...They might not. You knew it was a risk when you ordered, you can't be angry at them because it "happened to you". I do, however, guarantee you that you will have a much higher success rate by remaining professional throughout the process than by being an ass.
You also get a much higher chance or ensuring your next order will go through. Now they know that the packaging has been compromised and they need to switch things up. Like John said, it's a cat and mouse game.
Nirvana is nice enough to sponsor RIU and give us a free playground to run on and advance the art of cannabis cultivation. Yes, they do this for profit, that can only be expected. However, I am positive Nirvana would get along just fine without it.
In my opinion, this is the absolute best forum. The information is priceless and there are loads of people willing to help you out. The ingenuity of everyone here is simply amazing.
Moral of the story, Jesus says, "Don't be a dick.". Take a toke, sit back and relax. It's not the end of the world folks.
Peace.
