Alright folks,
This is my second grow using CFL's (and my second grow ever). My first grow was a semi-success, but all the things I did wrong then, I have done right now.
Again, I got only one female from a batch of 4 stray seeds that showed up in some pretty decent dank I got out of a hustler's sock for $4.
I used 6 "150 Watt" 2700K CFL bulbs during flowering. I feel that this is pretty much all you can get out of 6 CFL's, and my next grow in the not-so-distant future will use a HPS bulb.
During flowering I kept the plant in a 12" diameter pot and fed it Botanicare's Pure Blend Pro (1.5-4-5) on top of Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil.
I do not reccomend using Pure Blend Pro because even a half dosage lowered the pH of neutral water all the way down to the 3-4 range (WAY ACIDIC AND DANGEROUS FOR PLANTS). I therefore painstakingly balanced the pH of the water to 6.5-7.0 every time for the weekly feeding.
I stopped adding nutrients about 3 weeks before harvest, so I'm hoping for some delicious tasting cannabis.
I'm still drying the buds out, and will be curing them for another week or so. I honestly think that the drying and curing process is the hardest part of growing weed... Temptation is too high.
Don't forget to save those THC loaded leaves when pruning the plant!
