Songs That Were Significant While You Were High.

Ok so when I'm high i find it hard to truely find music that can fit the mood.. I'm normally so distracted with everything around me and what my friends are saying that music never comes up..

But the first time I ever got high which was about a year ago, I can remember this song coming on the radio. It was sort of weird because it came on just as I was starting to feel the effects of my first high so it was really memorable..

What i'm trying to get at is, what songs do you have a significant connection to when your high and why?

Mine was "Heart breaker" by The Rolling Stones.

I don’t know if in my case the word significant would really apply but certain songs to spark certain memories and at least in my case they tend to do it more or stronger when I am high.

Jackson Browne’s "That Girl Could Sing" reminds me of a past love that one day we talked on the phone at noon and we agreed that I would pick her up later and take her to dinner and when I got there she had moved and took off to become a singer. She had a great voice but without any warning at all she was gone. That song hits home.

Lynyrd Skynyrd’s song "Simple Man" reminds me of when my mother was dying of cancer and the long talks we would have where she said almost the exact words that are in the lyrics of the song. For about a year after she died I could not listen to "Simple Man" without crying. I went and saw Skynyrd then they played in Raleigh and I was in the third row standing there crying like a little girl with a skinned knee. That song evokes very powerful memories in me especially when high.

The Black Sabbath song "Paranoid" always reminds me about the first time I did acid and I think about what an utterly FANTASTIC time I had.

Many other songs are attached to really great really fun memories and are to numerous to list but songs do in my case spark memories, some good and some bad and some mixed and do it more so when stoned.
