I've not gotten around to using them yet but I know @Randomblame rocks a few of them him self. Him and I had a long talk about them about a year ago now. It was all the rage with him, I trust everything that man says.

You run AC power to 2 terminals, then the output to the device, (cut the wire, or install an outlet plug on it)
Anyone tried one?
.I got 2 of the TH16 unit, temp humidity. And 3 of the Basic Smart 10 amp units.
The TH16's cannot be reflashed to secondary firmware anymore, and can only work thru changing info on app, loading to server in china, then sent back to device, so they suck ass. The Temp/Humidity readings are awesome to your phone, but lack alarms or notifications because they are lazy app developers.
They work once programmed, but you are a slave to chinese servers. The BestBuy units that were sold just all stopped working Nov 6 last week because Bestbuy just shut down their server.
The Basic and new Mini models can run in DIY mode, which is a local server and not dependent on remote servers.

The new Mini is designed to fit inside an electrical junction box and not have exposed wires, so that is a big improvement but I don't think they plan on upgrading the TH16 to DIY mode, unfortunately. It's been 6 months, and the Basics units got the upgrade.

First off I am not positive but it looks like you can wire up the two different devices, not sure if you can have one running on temp and the other humidity. You will have to decipher this http://ewelink.coolkit.cc/?p=149

Also you wouldn't want the heater running while venting right? Perhaps something like a Titan or Autopilot environmental controller is more up your alley.

Secondly I wouldn't recommend this product after hearing what @DCcan said about them above. I returned mine unopened.

I have just bought a inkbird off eBay for £16 it's got 2 plugs on it and I will run my heater and fan on there.. when my temps run high and humidity my fan turns on and brings them back down to where I need them..

No, just one function, pick from pulse(digital switch), short timer(flood table, etc), long timer (lights) ,temp trigger, humidity trigger.
...you have to hook up to their 4 channel controller to set up a scene to do more.
A lot of software potential, they just haven't done it....they blocked the alternate software that was being developed from being loaded anymore.

Seems kinda stupid if you ask me. A lot of potential customers come with that added development and it was free to them.

My understanding was TH16 and Basic units could no longer be flashed after a firmware change by Sonoff....the earlier ones could.
Has that changed? The last I looked , my firmware version and subsequent ones could not.

Edit: Actually, looks like the reflashing tool that was going to be used stopped working. My mistake, the ESP8266 chip can be put into Programming Mode and load the firmware from the looks of it.

You cannot flash them (TH) OTA but using an FTDI worked fine for me. Whats the source that 3rd party firmware is now blocked?
