Sour Diesel Bagseed

i been getting this sour diesel for a while now and its always been great smoke. today i cracked open a bud and wow! theres a seed! great find for me as a grower i really prefer an indica because i am a micro cab grower and only have inches of space for buds. but i like the properties of the sour d because it give you a good buzz without the couch lock. great for stress and doesnt keep me up at night like other sativas.

i wonder where the pollen came from though, i might have a decent cross in that seed. unless it was a hermie but i doubt that highly as this came from primo bud. anyways im going to grow this thing big enough to take some clones from it and see what its all about. it will be interesting to see what a sativa will do in a dwc scrog setup. i might have to do some extra weaving since it will have longer lanky branches.im so used to my indicas this will be interesting.

Love the sour d, anything with Chemd is the shit. I hope you have a female, would be a huge bummer if its male, I recently popped some bluedream seeds I found also and they look great actually, I have blueberries going too and I see alot of bb in bd, I cant wait to clone it, was some grade a medical.
.ps dont worry aboht sativas in scrog, they get big quick and if space is a problem you might want to try to mainline it and veg it for 1.5 months, then train her well before flowering because they can easily grow 3 times, currently running a scrog for a friend w some of my carmelos and they grow rapid. No problem filling a screen up. Ill post pics on my thread in a few weeks, cant wait to see if ya got a good lil bitch.

Sour D is pretty known for stretching. Also known for being sensitive and easy to make herm. Could be a herm seed even if it's primo. It's doubtful that it will be male. Unless guy was growing males in his flower room. That seems unlikely.

It is most likely not a hermie. Most likely it is inter-sexed. I have had a few fire beans this way over the last couple of years, but I have mainly fem seeds as stock.

Hermie's are rare, both male and female genitalia on a single cannabis flower is rare. A female plant putting out a male bud site or vice versa is intersexed. This is 1 of 4 evolutionary strategies, population wise that cannabis has evolved too.

Most people throw out the word "hermie" but in reality, the structure would not fit the definition.

put it in and see what comes of the seed ,many great things have been found like that.sour d is legendary and original or crossed is to me any way a near perfect speciem of weed,from look to taste ist has it all and with a couple of sour diesel ibls seeds left hopefully can make seeds or least clone the hell outta it

All of the seeds that I have found inside a bag of dank like that have turned out to be female and I've grown 4 seeds that I have found that way.....*knocks on wood"

However you want to label it, Sour Diesel is a line known to put out occasional male flowers, and its not at all uncommon to find the occasional se-ed in buds.

So most likely, this se-ed in a Sour Diesel S1 (meaning its "feminized"). Those will put out different phenos, most of which will have some characteristics of the original parent, rare ones will be highly similar.

As OGE says, SD is on the stretchy side; while just about anything "can" be grown in a cab, this one is going to be harder than many, and not optimal. If you do want to try this, make sure to start training early and flower early to help control height.

thats what i was thinking i know its going to stretch a lot and i only have so much room in the cab.i would probably veg it about half the time i do my other plants. i expect to get less of a harvest too but all to the good for some dank sour d right? once i get it going and make sure ive got a female i might build a different setup that would be more sativa friendly.

yeah, when i say hermie i mean intersexed, either way the thing pollinates itself and others. hypothetically if the pollen came from the same plant and generated a seed asexually wouldnt those genetics also show through the next generation? or if it came from another plant that had those genetics.what are the odds?

yep thats all i can do is grow it and see im hoping i get good genetics though

i have a good indica strain now i just got to get my sativa going and im straight. too bad you can cross clones , or can you? graft them? like put the sour d branches on the indica stalk? i always used to throw around the idea of grafting weed to other plants like orange tree, or lemon tree ,something like that right? that would be cool..lol

not real sure on grafting pose anythings possible ,just grow this seed and top it multiple times then fim it which you just bend the limbs and tie down to create a masterpiece also just veg for less and remember to take some clones

I know This thread is old, but I popped another OG bag seed that I was given about three years ago and she turned out female.....This is the third seed I have grown from that seed batch and all have been female

sweet! well here it is, sour d/unknown cross , just popped the seed 2days ago and already showing through the rockwool cube. i soaked it with ph 5.6 water for 2days before i put the seed in and mixing up some dyna grow to feed it soon...
