I would considder my answer to be definate. But Id assume that the orange colored glow from the heater would trigger some of the orange/red receptors.

I need a propper answer too...

Oh and heres a crazy thought :p If I were to use a propane radiant heater wouldnt that catalyst element also produce a fair amount of co2?

I'm assuming not. BUT... the only reason I say this is because I have a green air products air controller that has an orangish red led that is somewhat bright. I've always wondered if this altered the photoperiod, but just assumed that they wouldn't make a product that was detrimental to growing.

In shot, if you havnt realized.... I don't know the answer to this question.

If anyone knows ease post answrers and sources please.

Use a ceramic heater that makes no light (and is safer). The little red led can be covered with black electrical tape.

thanks. I for one took mine back. I will take your advice "Illegal Smile" and purchase a ceramic heater replacement if need be. I was unaware that it was safer. And of course I will tape over any of the lights. It would have been impossible to tape over the heater coils though.. and very unsafe as well.

thank you
